To invite the Lieutenant Governor to attend your event, please send a detailed letter on your organization's letterhead. invitations should be sent three months prior to the date of the event. However all invitations received are considered.
Telephone invitations cannot be accepted.

The Lieutenant Governor is patron or honourary member of many Alberta non-profit and community organizations. Patronage may be granted for a one-time event or for on an on-going basis.
Upon request, the Lieutenant Governor sends greetings to Albertans celebrating birthdays of 80 or more in intervals of 5 years, and to couples celebrating wedding anniversaries of 50 years or more. To request a greeting, complete the Greeting Form and send it to the contacts listed on the form. Please send your request eight to twelve weeks prior to the date required.
The Lieutenant Governor recognizes special events and community milestones by sending messages of congratulations and support. Requests should be sent at least six weeks prior to the event. For more information, contact the Lieutenant Governor's Office.
Greetings for special milestones such as 100th birthdays can also be obtained from the Governor General and The Queen.
Letters to the Lieutenant Governor should be addressed to:

With the salutation, Your Honour.
