Flag Day 2019

On Friday, February 15, two classrooms of Grade 5 students from Baturyn Elementary School in Edmonton joined the Lieutenant Governor in a National Flag of Canada Day celebration.

The morning program began as a Flag Party from 504 Blatchford Field RCA Cadet Squadron raised the Canadian flag outside Government House. Guests then moved inside for a brief introduction from Her Honour followed by team educational activities throughout Government House.  The students also sat down in the library for group chats with the Lieutenant Governor. Thank you to the teachers and students of Baturyn Elementary for a great day!
