The True Awards are a program of the Lieutenant Governor’s Circle on Mental Health and Addiction.
The awards are a way to share success stories and encourage others to follow the example of Alberta’s mental health and addictions leaders and innovators.
Anyone can submit a nomination for a True Award. The nomination deadline is Friday, May 2.

True Award categories:
True Grit – individual award to someone who has used mental health and addiction services and inspired others in their recovery or dedicated themselves to the issue.
True Compassion – individual award to someone who has made extraordinary contributions to the delivery of mental health and addiction programs and services.
True Leadership – to an organization, business or individual for exceptional leadership in improving mental health and addiction programs or services.
True Service – to a public body for excellence in mental health and addiction services delivery.
True Imagination –to an individual or organization that initiates innovative approaches in mental health and addiction services.
The 2014 True Awards ceremony will take place in late September.
