Lieutenant Governor honoured to continue New Year's Day levee tradition

Edmonton...His Honour, Col. (Ret’d) the Honourable Donald S. Ethell and Her Honour Linda Ethell will be welcoming members of the public to the annual New Year’s Day levee on Saturday, January 1. The levee is a longstanding Alberta tradition that Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Ethell are honoured and excited to continue.

This open house offers members of the general public an opportunity to meet and have a photo taken with the Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Ethell, view historic Government House and enjoy music and light refreshments. Visitors will also have the opportunity to write a postcard for Canadian Forces members serving overseas.

Note: Admission to the event is free and the levee is suitable for all ages. Tickets/RSVPs are not required. Free parking is available. Government House is handicapped accessible.
